Those are the most perfect words to describe last night.
I don't have any pictures because I never bring a camera
But I'm pretty sure the image is burned into my retina.

I went to the Say Anything show at the HOB- San Diego last night and honestly from the beginning the crowd seemed (for a lack of a better word) flacid. I figured out why later but I'll get to that in a bit.

So first was this band whose name slips my mind, they were pretty good, i was impressed how most of the bands had the drummer sing, which is a quite a feat in my opinion. (since i can't drum to save my life).

Minature tigers made me super happy. There was just something about them, that made me want a pygmy tiger. Really upbeat stuff and the guy kind of looked like the guy from weatherbox! haha amazing. His use of acoustic guitar to make a completely new sound for me, pretty much blew my mind. I really liked em :).

Then Moneen, DREADS. that's all i can really say. They weren't terrible, but they weren't that great, their sound felt too samey. Their songs could have streamlined into one song. I liked em though =].

Eisley. OHHHH EISLEY. You eerie beauty queens of this egotistical world with your silly awesome clothes and harmonies that could make even the beefiest man break down in tears. You really surprised me Eisley, just because even though I've seen videos of you live, that would never do justice for how awesome your set was. If I were to describe it, it'd probably be like a calm before the storm that would be Say Anything, I think you were a great choice for this tour! Also Sherri finally told us the story of how she and the "guy" broke up, she got an accidental text message from him saying he was breaking up with her, then she continued to sing "Smarter" in an almost angry spiteful voice. You go Sherri :). Side note: every time they kissed i kinda melted. It was that good.

Say Anything. I wonder if there are enough words for me to type before I run out of space to describe how amazing this was. The memory gets blurry at times but let me start from the very beginning. I thought this was going to ruin it but it didn't: Really drunk guy, yelling and pushing people before Say Anything came out and I just thought to myself this will not be good. But honestly, after the crowd being quite unenergetic for most of the show, heard Fed to Death play, everyone just exploded, there was so much energy, it was like he didn't exist. It felt like we were all one entity living in that musical moment. It was beautiful you guys, if you ever get a chance to go to a show, just go for it. :). So of course, by the 4th song my voice was horse, but we ignore that :) yeah. I don't want to ruin the set list, but if someone has posted it already that's cool. I don't know what it was but I feel that was the best set I've ever seen them play. Every song, from every album, had a new life to them. That is what I loved about Say Anything and will always love. As they change as a band and as people, they don't sing the song the same (I mean chords and lyrics and pacing are the same) but the energy was definitely there and you can definitely see a love for it all. While we, the crowd, sang all the words straight back to him. It's been done before, but my view has been completely revitalized on that subject. What can I say, I'm a sucker =P. When Sherri came out for Cemetery, was amazing. Max staring at her singing "You're in my body". You can't make this shit up. I was really happy. Honestly, I can't wait till they come again.

In conclusion, even though I wasn't in the fray of the mosh pit. I did feel like I had sex (or what I imagined would be) on a spiritual level with about 300 different people ranging from different sizes and ages and times. Thanks for the good times Say Anything.

I shan't soon forget :)

p.s. Listen to Weatherbox, Say Anything was pitching them at the end ^_^. They're from San Diego boo yah!

I need some help!
Anyone going to the show in Towson tomorrow (today)? Well, I'm handing out Victory Record stuff (Sampler CD's, 'Megazines,) and A Rocket to the Moon stuff (Stickers and posters)
I have a limited amount of everything, but very little posters.
I also have some Victory Record posters, but only about three of each! So if you want anyway, I have to get rid of them, find me I'll be near the front! I'm wearing the Sweet Sixteen crown! So if you wish me a happy birthday you get whatever you want (Unless I dont have any more D:)
I just really want these out of my possession!

And to make these more Max/Say Anything related...uhhh, post your favorite photo?

(Sorry if this isn't allowed, I will delete!)
